Wondering to see the boundary in mid Seto Inland Sea.

There are somewhat small islands called Nakanoshima and Herashima between Okamura Island and Osaki Shimojima Island.

Go through at once from Okamura Island, Nakanoshima Island, Nakanoseto Bridge, Herashima Island, Hera Bridge, Osaki Shimojima Island without a rest.

Much points to be wanted to stop in Osakishimojima Island.

“Mikan (Japanese orange) Juice” produced by Yamakiyo Seika (Vegetable and fruit).

No exception, the mikan juice produced by Yamakiyo Seika in Oshima Shimojima Island.

Yamakiyo Seika (Vegetable and fruit)

What a deep color!

Doesn’t it look delicious just at glance, does it?

Mikan (Japanese orange) Juice

It’s cheap as well at only JPY100.

Of course, I drank both the mikan juice and Iyokan orange juice!

Mitarai District

Stop off at Mitarai Districe on the way.

Many historical buildings which have been built up from Edo Era to early Showa era through Meiji Era and Taisho Era.

They are located in retro designated area as “Important preservation district of historic buildings”.

Mitarai Districe

May be passing through without awareness of that because we must go into the narrow path lanes away from the coastal road.

Biggest Jungle Jim (climbing frame) in Japan.

Biggest Jungle Jim in Japan is there in Tobishima Kaido.

The Jungle Jim in Kakyo Memorial Park just in front before crossing over Toyohama Bridge from Osaki Shimojima Island.

Biggest Jungle Jim in Japan

It’s not climbing up suchlike construction site without asking.

The height is 13.2m and the width is 15.6m.

What a huge Jungle Jim looking like frames for buildings.

Human looks very small comparing to it.

Very scared to look down from the top after climbing up there…!

Toyoshima

Go into Toyoshima crossing over Toyoshima Bridge.

What a feeling of the top-down view!

This Katuratei is a biggest restaurant to be found easily in the roadside while cycling Tobishima Kaido.

Restart the cycling on Tobishima Kaido toward Akikawajiri!

Restart to Shimokamagarijima Island after satisfying appetites.

It’s a luxurious time you can feel you seem to be the only one to cycle on the road with the view of such gentle and beautiful sea.

The next after crossing over Kamagari Bridge is the last island, Shimokamagari Island.

Akinada Bridge to cross over to Kure can be also seen in the back.

Cross over Kamagari Bridge and land to Shimokamagari Island which is the last island in Tobishima Kaido.

There is a history in the base of Kamagari Bridge.

The city has been much developed.

I shoved tempura (Japanese fritter) of small fishes into my mouth in restaurants “Kairoman” and “Kaiekisannnoseki”.

How delicious in just fried-out and hot ones with soft salty taste.

Akikawajiri Station is the nearest station to start/goal on Hiroshima side.

Akikawajiri Station can be got access from Hiroshima Station by JR Kure Line.

  • Few traffic and only one traffic signal. The route is getting all along the sea,
  • Little difference of elevation so as to do cycling much easily!

What a fantastic cycling course! That’s Tobishima Kaido.

One way distance of Tobishima Kaido is around 30km from Okamura Port to Akinada Bridge.

In addition, few traffic and wide road for easy cycling.

Few cars go by and much less cyclist is there so I was able to cycle there mostly alone at leisure.

Personally speaking, I think Tobishima Kaido is better and easier for cycling than Shimanami Kaido.

Now I completed the cycling on Tobihima Kaido at the final!

I bet you can enjoy cycling there!
